The Chamber Jazz concert will include music for string quartet with a jazz relationship such as Debussy, Piazzolla and Jerome Kern, as well as music drawn from two amazing jazz recordings by Chet Baker (Chet Baker with Strings) and Stan Getz (Cool Velvet & West Coast Live). The Chandler stage will be shared by an all-star Jazz quartet including Bob Franceschini (Sax), Ray Vega (Trumpet), Fima Ephron (Bass) and Ben Perowsky (Drums). Mixing both world-class classical and jazz artists will produce an exciting concert with music for many different tastes! The jazz ensemble will also play on their own including the possibility of some original tunes. The festival is very excited about this new musical collaboration!
